We Emerged as Limbs
“Seeing is forgetting the name of the things one sees” (Robert Irwin, 1977)
// A scenographic exploration of the primordial
How can we use performance to think of times and worlds that are beyond a human scale?
The performance is design-led: water drips on a scolding hot plate, limbs emerge from bin bags and a lightbulb responds to the sound of the audience. The work is boldly visual, stirring up feelings of the cosmic scales of time we exist within. It dialogues with the beginning of the universe, the beginning of us and what will be the end.
